Vishwakarma yojana loan: how it works

The Goa MSME page describes credit support of up to Rs 3 lakh at 5 percent. As per Drishti IAS, this comes in two tranches, not at once: up to Rs 1 lakh first, repaid over 18 months, and then up to Rs 2 lakh, repaid over 30 months. The government gives interest subvention capped at 8 percent and pays credit guarantee fees, so you pay the concessional 5 percent. Claims that the scheme gives Rs 3 lakh in one go are not correct according to these sources.

How to register for PM Vishwakarma Yojana

According to the Goa MSME page, registration is done through a Common Service Centre (CSC):

  1. Visit your nearest CSC.
  2. Carry Aadhaar, the mobile number linked to Aadhaar, bank details, ration card (or Aadhaar of family members), proof of your trade, and a photo.
  3. The CSC operator registers you with Aadhaar e-KYC and biometric authentication and submits the online application.
  4. Keep the acknowledgement or reference number. Use it to track your application.

The official portal has a How to Register page (linked below). After you apply, your application is verified before you get the certificate; many websites describe a three-stage check (gram panchayat or urban local body, district committee and screening committee), but we could not confirm this from an official source. Menus on the portal change, so if a page looks different, ask the CSC operator.
