How to check PM Kisan beneficiary status
- Open the official PM-KISAN portal (pmkisan.gov.in).
- Look for the Farmers Corner section and an option such as Beneficiary Status or Know Your Status.
- Enter the details the page asks for. Older versions accepted Aadhaar, account or mobile number; newer versions use your registration number with an OTP sent to your own phone. Fill the captcha and click Get Status or a similar button.
- Check the result: it shows payment history and whether e-KYC, land seeding and Aadhaar-bank seeding are complete (as reported by Navbharat Live).
- If something is pending, fix it through the portal, a CSC or your local agriculture office.
These steps are based on news reports from 2023 and 2026. The portal design changes, so if your screen looks different, look for words like status or beneficiary. Enter your OTP only on the official portal, never for a caller.
PM Kisan e-KYC: three ways
According to PIB (20 June 2026), e-KYC can be done in three ways:
- OTP based: on the PM-KISAN portal, using the mobile number linked with Aadhaar.
- Biometric: at a Common Service Centre (CSC).
- Face authentication: in the PM-KISAN mobile app (added in 2023).
If e-KYC is pending, your installment may be held. Complete it before the next installment is released.
Help and grievances
According to PIB, the Kisan-eMitra AI chatbot gives 24x7 help in 11 languages, and grievances can be raised through the PM-KISAN portal and CPGRAMS. As reported by Business Standard in November 2023, PM-KISAN helplines included 155261, 011-24300606 and toll-free 1800-115-526. These numbers are from an older report and may have changed; check the official portal for the current contact.
Is CM Kisan or PM Kisan Mandhan the same?
No. People often search names such as CM Kisan, PM Kisan Mandhan, PM Kisan Sampada or PM Kisan tractor yojana alongside PM Kisan. This page covers only PM-KISAN (Samman Nidhi), the Rs 6,000 a year income support. Our sources do not cover those other names, so check their own official pages or your local agriculture office, and be careful with websites that mix them together.
Other schemes for farm families
Farm families may also look at Atal Pension Yojana for old-age pension, PM Ujjwala Yojana for an LPG connection, PM Surya Ghar for rooftop solar, and Lakhpati Didi Yojana for women in SHGs. See the full list on our home page.
