How much Indiramma Indlu gives, and in what stages

Each house gets Rs 5 lakh, as reported by Siasat (December 2024) and Telangana Today (September 2026). The money is not a lump sum. As reported by Siasat on 20 May 2025, it is paid directly in four stages:

Payments are released every Monday based on the construction stage reached, as reported in May 2025 and again in June 2026. The eligible plinth area is 750 sq ft; MLAs said in September 2026 that bills for houses above 750 sq ft were not being released. In the same debate, MLAs said Rs 5 lakh is not enough because a house costs Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. No change to the amount was reported.

Phases and progress (dated)

• December 2024: phase 1 announced for poor families who own a plot, 4.5 lakh houses, 3,500 per Assembly constituency. Phase 2 for landless poor: a house site plus Rs 5 lakh (Siasat, 5 December 2024).
• 5 December 2024: a beneficiary selection mobile app was launched; officials visited villages to verify applications.
• May 2025 (pilot): 47,335 houses sanctioned, 20,104 grounded, 5,140 basements done, Rs 53.64 crore paid to 5,364 beneficiaries (Siasat).
• 8 June 2026: second phase of 2,000 houses per Assembly constituency; the scheme is to continue in phases until all eligible families are covered (Deccan Chronicle).
• 26 September 2026: 4.5 lakh houses sanctioned in phase 1 and 2.5 lakh in phase 2, at Rs 5 lakh each (Deccan Chronicle).

We did not find a reliable figure for total houses completed.

Who gets priority

As reported by Siasat (December 2024), priority goes to Dalits, tribals, agricultural workers, physically challenged persons, sanitation workers, single women and transgender persons. Phase 1 was for poor families who own a plot; phase 2 covers landless poor. Officials verify applications in the field before selection. The full official eligibility order was not available to us, so ask your Gram Panchayat, ward office or mandal office for the current rules.

Indiramma housing scheme Hyderabad: CURE flats

For Hyderabad's Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) area, an urban version was launched on 20 July 2026, as reported by Telangana Today and Siasat:

• 1 lakh flats planned in phases. Flat cost Rs 11 lakh: the state pays Rs 5 lakh and the beneficiary pays Rs 6 lakh in instalments.
• Rs 100 application fee and a Rs 10,000 refundable token deposit.
• Eligibility (Telangana Today): no house or plot within ORR limits, household income up to Rs 6 lakh a year, one application per family, resident of the Assembly constituency.
• Selection by draw of lots. No sale or rent for 10 years (mortgage allowed).
• Applications ran from 21 July to 10 August 2026 through MeeSeva centres, the MeeSeva portal or WhatsApp, and the housing board website.

Reports differ on the first-phase flat count, flat size (about 525 to 528 sq ft) and number of instalments, so treat those details as approximate.

How to check Indiramma housing scheme status and list

A state portal for Indiramma Indlu beneficiary search is widely cited online, but we could not open or verify it, so we do not link it. Some articles that show "step-by-step" list checks are paid advertorials that point to non-government sites. A helpline number seen online came only from such an advertorial and is not confirmed.

1. Ask at your Gram Panchayat, ward office or mandal office for the Indiramma sanction list (मंजूरी सूची) for your village or ward.
2. If you use a website, check that the address ends in telangana.gov.in or another .gov.in domain. Look for a beneficiary search or status option; menus change, so if the screen looks different, ask the office instead.
3. Track stage payments in your bank passbook. Each stage is paid after inspection, usually released on a Monday, as reported.
4. If a stage payment is delayed after inspection, report it to the mandal or housing office with your sanction details. Show documents only at the office.
5. For an unresolved complaint, use CPGRAMS (linked below) or your district grievance cell.

Indiramma vs PMAY in Telangana

PMAY-Gramin is not implemented in Telangana. PMAY-Urban 2.0 does run there: Telangana was among the states given more urban houses at the 9th CSMC meeting on 10 September 2026, as reported. Avoid scams

• Applying is free (the CURE flats had an Rs 100 fee and refundable deposit, as reported). No agent can buy you a sanction.
• Never share an OTP, Aadhaar or bank details with unknown callers.
• Beware of fake websites, fake apps, fake approval letters and agents who promise a house for a fee. Report cyber fraud on 1930.
